A bright sunny and frosty morning with with open sky. Considerable cloud soon becoming established to the far west and north-west including cumulonimbus, gradually invading the sky by late lunch time and to give heavy snow showers for the best part of the afternoon (75mm max). Wind: WNW F2 / 3. Temperature: -0 and falling. Visibility: very poor in snow showers. Cloud: 8ok. Pressure; 996hpa and falling.
